Study: Novo Nordisk NN9559-8577
Are you living with type 2 diabetes and currently taking metformin alone, or metformin plus an SGLT-2 inhibitor (such as Jardiance, Farxiga, or Invokana)?
If so, you may be eligible to participate in a clinical research study assessing an investigational GLP-1 medicine called UBT251.
ABOUT THE STUDY
This is a Phase 2 study evaluating how UBT251 affects blood sugar, body weight, and heart health.
Who may qualify?
You may be eligible to participate if you meet all the following:
Age 18 to 75 years
Have type 2 diabetes
Currently taking metformin alone, or metformin plus an SGLT2 inhibitor (such as Jardiance, Farxiga, or Invokana)
HbA1c 7.0% to 10.5%
Body mass index (BMI) of 30 to 50 (classified as obesity)
Have not used any GLP-1-based medication — including pills or injections (such as Ozempic, Wegovy, Rybelsus, Mounjaro, Zepbound, Trulicity, or Foundayo) within the past 3 months
Have not used Januvia, sulfonylureas (such as glyburide, glimepiride, or glipizide), or insulin within the past 3 months
Have never had surgery or a weight loss device for treatment of obesity
