Advancing Metabolic Health Through Clinical Research Studies

At Los Angeles Institute for Metabolic Research, we conduct clinical research studies focused on metabolic diseases that affect millions of people, including obesity, diabetes, metabolic (“fatty”) liver disease, and related conditions such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and sleep apnea.

Our research studies evaluate investigational therapies and new approaches designed to improve health outcomes. Participation is voluntary, and all studies are conducted under Institutional Review Board (IRB) oversight.

Whether you are newly diagnosed, living with a chronic condition, or simply interested in learning more, we invite you to explore our current clinical research opportunities.

Weight Management Studies

More than 100 million U.S adults live with obesity, increasing the risk of diabetes, heart disease, sleep apnea, liver disease, and many other serious health conditions.

We are studying promising new medications that may help people achieve healthier, more sustainable weight management.

Diabetes Studies

Nearly 1 in 8 Americans has diabetes, making it one of the nation’s most common chronic diseases.

By participating in clinical research, qualified volunteers may help advance the next generation of diabetes treatments while receiving expert study-related care.

Metabolic "Fatty Liver" Disease Studies

Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease “fatty liver disease” affects about 1 in 3 adults and often has no symptoms until significant liver damage has occurred.

Our research is evaluating promising new therapies designed to slow, stop, and potentially reverse liver disease before irreversible damage develops.
